The Producer

The next generation of ethical chocolate

Launched in 2016, Love Cocoa wanted to produce great-tasting chocolate, of course, but also to do their part to help save the environment and reverse deforestation to ensure chocolate can be enjoyed by generations to come. Unfortunately, the problem begins right at the source: with the farming of the humble cocoa bean. However, Love Cocoa have a solution that aims to tackle this issue head-on by planting one tree for every bar they sell. The project has been a huge success already, and, in 2020, Love Cocoa planted over 500,000 trees in North Cameroon.

They also actively assist each of their farmers and producers, as well as their local communities, helping them to farm in more sustainable ways, whilst supporting them to produce the best quality cocoa.

The Products

Spreading the love for sustainable chocolate

Love Cocoa makes high-quality, delicious chocolate, which is always ethically and sustainably sourced. They use Columbian cacao and are committed to using recyclable packaging throughout the range.

The chocolate bars include only the finest, organic and natural ingredients and whilst the cocoa may come from afar, they source many of their other ingredients directly from independent producers in the UK, including mint from Summerdown Farm in Hampshire. They have also partnered with Maldon Sea Salt and Pact Coffee – both UK-based companies.

Many of the sensationally flavoured bars, including the dark Peruvian chocolate bar and the salted caramel milk chocolate bar can be found in our hampers. Many more have won numerous awards, including 1 and 2 stars in the ‘Great Taste’ awards, which is widely acknowledged as the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers.
